| Oh Labor day.
Friday was pretty fun. After work Jim and I carpooled back to Lyndonville and enjoyed pizza with Joe and the girls. I took off for Lockport to participate in the Miles fantasy football league only to discover that while I did have fast wireless internet, my laptop cord was forgotten at work 30 minutes away. Drafted my first rounder before the battery ran out, so I drove to UB North to hang out with folk and figured I'd forget the draft. Ended up at UB South and was able to finish my draft at Dan and Gebbie's. Kristen was there and Josh (the non-Sanders half of Johnsch) so I was able to see those people for a bit, then went to North campus and enjoyed pancakes and pleasant sociality.
Saturday saw me reconstruct a large bookshelf in Lockport then talk to Subaru about cars before making bean dip. I headed back to the Miles homestead for lasagna, shifted over to the lake and hung out with Chris and Becki, then ended up at the bar with Scott for the first time in months. My cellphone car charger destroyed itself, so from this point on I haven't had a phone.
Sunday started too early. I went golfing with the Miles crew, then swam, volleyed balls, played frontyard baseball, ate tacos and a mexican sundae, drank beer, and hung out like I was part of the family. The swimming part wrecked me the most because the entire time I defended myself against 3 8-ish-year old boys hellbent on attacking me. I fought back admirably but majorly tweaked my back, which hindered the other sports and general mobility. Suck it up.
Today I slept until 2pm somehow. The alarm went off at 7, I got up and tied up the dog, but fell back asleep for the next 7 hours. Must have needed it. Now it's time to shower and run off to play hockey.
